1. Bulletproof Passwords – First and foremost, you should be using multiple passwords and not the same password for all of your accounts. Secondly take your time and make them difficult to guess by adding upper and lower case letters as well as numbers and special characters. If its easy to remember, it’s easy to crack. 3. Social Security- No, We are not talking about the check you receive from the government. We are talking about all of the private information we share through social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Information like our birthdays, addresses and telephone numbers are easy ways for people to piece together enough information to create fraudulent accounts and ultimately steal your identity. Through your accounts “Privacy Settings” you have the ability to control what information is shared with your friends and acquaintances through your social channels.
