What if My Computer Is Too Slow?

If your computer takes forever to start up, if it’s slow to shut down, if a program freezes or is slow to open, or if the computer shuts itself off, it’s probably time for a tune up. Sounds familiar? Computers become slow during the time. Corrupt old and redundant files quickly build up in the computer.

There are plenty of reasons why your computer is going slow. You may need to do windows updates, update device drivers, update your programs like java and adobe, clean and defragment your drives. More recently an error in windows 10 causes the disk to run at 100% and a DISM repair is required to fix it. You may also need to upgrade your RAM to help with multitasking. Nerdcore Computers can help pinpoint the issue remotely, and sometimes all the issues combined, and get your computer running back to speed.

You may also want to upgrade your computer to take advantage of new technology. An SSD (Solid state drive) upgrade can give you huge performance boosts. They are up to 20 times faster than a standard 2.5 inch laptop HD drive and up to 10 times faster than a 3.5 inch PC HD drive. You will usually see computers that use to start in 1 to 2 minutes will start in 6 to 12 seconds with an SSD upgrade. SSD’s are getting cheap and the upgrade process usually only takes 1 to 2 hours to do.
